Beatnik Earth was a Spring fashion event on March 19, 2009 at Skyline Downtown Salon. With perfect views of the city-scape, thumping beats of DJ White Shadow, and fashions to make any girl swoon, Beatnik Earth was a complete success. This time we partnered with The Salvation Army to bring awareness about desolate shelves at Kansas City food pantries. The entry fee to get in to the event was a monetary donation of $5 or $5 worth of goods for the food pantries. The Salvation Army walked away with plenty of food and clothing items, that would make anyone proud.
